Any fan of live jam music should know about the Internet Archive. It is known more commonly by it's domain name, archive.org. Some may even recognize the closely-associated etree.org.

The Internet Archive is a non-profit organization with the mission of creating a library available via the Internet. It contains text, audio, moving images, software, and archived Web pages (The Wayback Machine).

Of the most interest to lovers of live music, is the Live Music Archive, where those awesome tapers post recordings of all the shows you missed or hope to hear again. There's even a deadicated section to The Grateful Dead.

Greensboro's own resident scholar of Deadhead sociology, Dr. Rebecca Adams, was recently featured in the article Management Secrets of The Grateful Dead by Josua Green in The Atlantic Magazine.

The article in the March 2010 edition appears in reference to the opening of The Grateful Dead Archive at The University of California at Santa Cruz.

You may recognize the University as the longtime Web host of David Dodd's mind boggling Annotated Grateful Dead Lyrics Web site.

You may then also recognize David Dodd as the co-editor of one of the best books one could ever read about the band: The Grateful Dead Reader.

Yeah, it all comes together and goes round and round in the universe of links on the World Wide Web. I think that is plenty for now.

Greensboro's Thacker Dairy Road, is releasing its first studio album at The Blind Tiger on February 26, 2010.

The band, formed in 2004, has a unique style that blends rock, pop, and Americana.

You may recognize George Smith and Josh Casstevens, Thacker Dairy Road bass guitar and lead guitar respectively, from T.H.H.E. Mood Cultivation Project out of Mt. Airy, NC.

For a limited time, until the release party, you can listen to the band's entire new release at its MySpace page for free.

Check it out.

I see some amazing and sometimes hilarious shirts while wandering around festivals. Custom t-shirts are a great way to market your band, group, etc.
