An update on England Athletics affiliation for 2021-22

Hi Goats,

Some of you are affiliated with England Athletics through Lonely Goat, and others may be considering it. If so, this email shares some information on the affiliation process for the year ahead.

(If you’re not affiliated, or don’t wish to affiliate, then feel free to stop reading!)

How do I renew?

The England Athletics (EA) affiliation year runs from April to March. For runners who are already affiliated with EA, you will start to receive a renewal email at the start of April.

These emails are sent through EA’s online portal. However, because there are so many affiliated Goats, we can’t send them out all in one go or it will crash the system. Instead, they have to be staggered over a couple of weeks.

If you receive one of these renewal emails, just click on the link and follow the payment instructions to renew.

If you don’t wish to renew, then just ignore the email.

It might be the middle of April before you receive your email. If you’re expecting one, but haven’t received one after the first fortnight of April, check your spam folder for an email from noreply@englandathletics.org. If it hasn’t arrived, please let us know by emailing affiliation@lonelygoat.com.

How do I sign up for the first time?

If you’re not currently affiliated, but wish to be, then head to the Affiliation page on our website: https://lonelygoat.com/affiliation.

Do I need to affiliate to be a member of Lonely Goat?

Affiliation with EA is separate to being a member of Lonely Goat and not compulsory. It is possible to be a member of Lonely Goat without affiliating to EA.

But, there are benefits to affiliation, including discounted entry to some races. You can find out more on our website: https://lonelygoat.com/affiliation.
