Introducing ‘Member Plus’ – extra benefits for Lonely Goats

Member Plus is here! To sustainably support the club we have created a new membership tier and readjusted some of the features available on the website.

Since day one, Lonely Goat Running Club has been free and open to all who share our ethos of inclusivity and supporting and inspiring each other to achieve our own personal goals. There’s no cost to become a member. All you have to do is sign up at the website. From there you can choose to get stuck in as much or as little as you like by engaging with your fellow members through our email newsletter, Facebook Chat Group, Strava Club, on Instagram, or giving the ‘Goat Salute’ to others wearing the club kit at races.

We will continue to offer free membership, but now we’re offering a paid option to those who want even more Lonely Goat action in their lives. This paid option is Member Plus.

Here’s a comparison of the two options and what you can enjoy:

Member Free – £0

• Access to our social media channels, including the Facebook Chat Group, Strava Club, and Instagram
• Regular Goat Mail newsletters with running tips, inspiration, product reviews, club news and more.
• Optional affiliation with England Athletics (additional charges apply)

Member Plus – £25 a year

• All the benefits of free membership, plus…
• 20% discount in the Lonely Goat shop and free delivery on orders over £50
• Goat Codes discounts from specially selected partners (with great new discounts to come!*)
• Virtual Challenges over a range of distances
• Exclusive in depth Member Plus articles
• Competitions to win running gear and Lonely Goat merchandise

Why are we launching the Member Plus option? So that we can offer new perks and benefits to the Herd, while continuing to invest in the website and the other ways the club and community interact with and support each other. Our aim is to get more people running, and support them to achieve their goals. Member Plus will help us do that.

We’ll continue to add new partners so you can save money on races and running kit, with Maverick Race, Monkey Sox and Proviz signing up to coincide with the launch of Member Plus!]

 

Rest assured that whether you’re a free Member or sign up for Member Plus, everyone is a Lonely Goat and you are all part of this wonderful community. Regardless of which membership option you choose, you can all wear the club kit, represent the Herd at parkrun or races, and consider yourself a Goat. The new Member Plus option provides extra benefits to reward those who choose to sign up as a paid member. You can upgrade to Member Plus from your Lonely Goat account here.

As before, England Athletics affiliation will be an option that is available to those Goats who choose to register with the national governing body of running in England, and continue to be administered separately.
