The new Lonely Goat Running Club kit is now available!

We’ve been teasing it for a while, and have been working on it for even longer, but we are now excited to launch an all-new range of Lonely Goat Running Club kit. We also have a brand new online shop to offer you, the wonderful members of the Lonely Goat community, better service and stock availability.

What’s new?

The old kit had served us well. The black kit with the coloured hexagon logo has become a familiar sight at events across the UK and beyond. We didn’t want to lose the sense of identity that is so important to the community, but it was time for a fresh new style, improved quality, and products that are even more environmentally sustainable.

NEW: ‘Hex’ range

Many of you have asked for a ‘rainbow’ kit that includes all the Lonely Goat colours. The new Hex range does just that. All the Lonely Goat colours are represented in the hexagon grid pattern that is part of our new look, on a black background, with the club logo in white.

The Hex range includes men’s, women’s and kid’s t-shirts, vests, long-sleeved zip tops and neck warmer.

NEW: Three new leggings styles

We are very excited about the new leggings. If you like colour, and funky styling, check out the ‘Brushstrokes’ and ‘Abstract’ designs. They’re bright, bold and colourful. Plus they’re practical, with a zipped rear pocket and handy side pockets.

If understated chic is more your vibe, then the all black leggings, with subtle Lonely Goat logos in white, will be right up your street.

NEW: Coloured ‘Core’ range

The Core range shares the same design as the Hex range, but in a single colour for those of you who like to stick to your favourite colours – or coordinate with your shoes!

Men’s and women’s t-shirts are available in black with blue, green, pink, purple or yellow detailing.

Anything else?

Taking style cues from the Hex range, there is a new beanie (with reflective fibres) and cap to keep your head covered.

We’ve also updated the classic black hoodie, with a new design, quality embroidered logos and a lined hood. It’s so comfy you’re never going to want to take it off!

The old ranges are no longer available, but we will be looking to add more items (including more accessories) in the future.

Better for you

The whole range has been developed with our new friends at Scimitar Sports. Even if you’re not familiar with Scimitar Sports, the chances are you already have one of their products in your wardrobe, as they are the leading supplier of high-quality customised running kit for races and charities (and kit for cycling and team sports). Their products are top-notch, with comfortable fabrics, flat-lock stitching, vibrant printing and a big range of sizes.

Because Scimitar are now looking after the shop on our behalf, they will help with customer service and sold out items will be restocked much quicker. This means the small LG HQ team can focus on what we love most: supporting the Lonely Goat community.

Better for the planet

Our impact on the planet we love to run in is very important to us. Our old club race tees and vests were made with recycled plastic and the Re-Goat scheme offers a £5 discount to anyone who recycles or rehomes their old running kit. We’ve made a decent start, but there is a long way to go on our environmental sustainability journey.

The problem is, it’s tricky to balance our environmental aims with the practical realities of being a fairly small player in an industry that is often slow to change. We simply don’t have the clout to convince suppliers to change their materials to more sustainable options without incurring extra costs that would have to be passed on to you. One of the great things about running is that it is relatively inexpensive. Therefore, we don’t want to put off new runners by charging more for our kit than we need to.

Fortunately, Scimitar are a big player with a lot of clout. By trusting Scimitar to look after all stock ordering, printing and shipping on our behalf, we can all benefit from their size and experience. This is seen in the new range, which is great value and includes:

• 100% recycled polyester (from plastic bottles)
• Organic cotton

Scimitar are also certified as a carbon negative company: They support tree planting in the UK, Mozambique and Madagascar, plus other projects such as peatland restoration and converting landfill gas to energy. They’re a great company and we are very happy to be working with them.
