Reconnect Through Run

Lonely Goat have teamed up with our friends at Wiggle to host a special event celebrating the return of getting active with others – and we would love for you to get involved.

Reconnect Through Run

Whether you run solo or with a friend or family member, this is a great way to “reconnect through run” – either virtually or physically. The free virtual 10K event is open to any age and ability – with the option to claim a real medal provided by Wiggle!

Taking part

The official start time will be at 10am on 1st May but will be open to anyone that completes the challenge over the May bank holiday weekend.

Celebrate your achievements

Wiggle has minted a special medal to celebrate the event, which will be available to all those participating. (Cost of medal + P&P £3.50)

The power of community

As the nation gradually emerges from lockdown, Reconnect Through Run is a chance to meet those we may have only seen virtually, or lost contact with over the past year.

For the solo runners, the experience can be shared with the Lonely Goat herd through the club’s various platforms – Instagram, Strava, and the Facebook Chat Group.

Reconnect Through Run on Zwift

Lonely Goat runners can also complete the challenge together on Zwift Run, the online, interactive treadmill running platform.

A bespoke event has been scheduled on Zwift at 10am on 1st May. This will be a fantastic way for the Herd to run together.

We’re in this together

Take on your 10K challenge with the Lonely Goat herd, or friends and family, anywhere. And remember, it’s not about time: it’s about reconnecting.

All we ask is that you share your stories and pictures with Wiggle and Lonely Goat and inspire others to reconnect, using the hashtag #ReconnectThroughRun.

The challenge will be open from 10am on 1 May for the duration of the bank holiday weekend, so those not available on the official start date of 1 May can still take part.

If all the above wasn’t exciting enough, those who complete the challenge will also be entered into a prize draw to win one of three Wiggle prize vouchers worth £100.

How to sign up

To sign up for Reconnect Through Run, just visit the challenge page in the account section and add the ‘Reconnect Through Run’ challenge.

Complete challenge

When you have completed your run – head over to the challenge page and submit your evidence.
