Update: England Athletics affiliation for 2025/26

Some of you are affiliated with England Athletics through Lonely Goat, and others may be considering it. If so, this update shares information on the affiliation process for the year ahead.

How do I renew?

The England Athletics (EA) affiliation year runs from April to March. For runners who are already affiliated with EA, you will receive a renewal email in the first half of April.

When you receive one of these renewal emails, click on the link and follow the payment instructions to renew. You will also have to read the new code of conduct and tick the box to confirm.

If you don’t wish to renew, ignore the email.

These emails are sent through EA’s online portal. Note – as with previous years, it might be the middle of April before you receive your email.

If you’re expecting one, but haven’t received it after the first fortnight of April, check your spam folder for an email from noreply@englandathletics.org. If it hasn’t arrived, please let us know by emailing affiliation@lonelygoat.com.

Alternatively, log in to your EA myAthletics portal. Go to your profile page, click on ‘ORDER HISTORY’ and there will be a button next to the order, which will direct you to pay online via Stripe.

How much does it cost?

For 2025/26 affiliation will cost £25.

This is broken down as follows: £20 to EA and £5 to Lonely Goat as a club fee. We always want to keep the cost to our members as low as possible. But as the club has gotten bigger it costs us more to look after it. We hope you understand.

Do I need to affiliate to be a member of Lonely Goat?

It is possible to be a member of Lonely Goat without affiliating to EA. Read our membership options.
